Haldane Youth Services Celebrates 20 Years of Community Impact
21st April 2026
Haldane Youth Services is proud to celebrate its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of supporting children, young people, families, and the wider community across West Dunbartonshire.
Since opening its doors in 2006, Haldane Youth Services has grown from a small local project into a trusted, community‑led organisation delivering high‑quality programmes that promote wellbeing, confidence, leadership, and positive futures. Founded and managed by dedicated local voluntary community members, HYS has remained rooted in the needs and strengths of the area. Over the past 20 years, thousands of children and young people have taken part in activities that build skills, strengthen relationships, and create safe, supportive spaces to thrive.
Today, HYS continues to expand its impact through youth work, family support, community wellbeing initiatives, and new projects that respond to local need. Recent developments include environmental programmes, community food initiatives, and the launch of a new community garden for adults aged 16+.
A spokesperson for Haldane Youth Services said: “Reaching 20 years is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of. Our work has always been shaped by the community, and this anniversary is a celebration of the young people, families, volunteers, staff, and partners who have helped us grow. We remain committed to providing safe spaces, trusted relationships, and opportunities that make a real difference.”
Throughout 2026, HYS will mark its anniversary with community events, celebration activities, and stories highlighting the organisation’s journey and the people who have shaped it. Haldane Youth Services looks forward to the next 20 years of supporting local young people and strengthening community wellbeing.
